Condolence: During our time in Gardena (Nissan), we shared stories about our families, our classic car interests, and most importantly our faith (I really enjoyed the Bible studies). Rick had a very kind and gentle spirit that shined brightly and was a testimony of his strong commitment to Christ. Rick was and still is an inspiration to me. See you on the other side Rick.
Condolence: I’m thankful I had the opportunity to get to know Rick over the past few years as a colleague and as a brother in Christ. Rick was good peeps! When our paths crossed at work, they were usually to address challenges – the tyranny of the urgent - but Rick seemed to always wear a contagious smile – I think reflective of the Light he carried within. None of us is perfect, but he seemed to manage admirably the balance between being a good manager and employee and being a good and present dad to his kids. I would get a kick out of seeing him rumble around ‘the Fork’ with the kids in his classic autos – I’ll miss seeing that – always did my heart good. But I know Rick built his house upon the rock and leaves that example for his family and, indeed, for all of us.
Condolence: Rick was a wonderful and very caring person who always wanted to help others. I had the honor of teaching Rick a Kepner Tregoe training program out in Gardena, California at Nissan in the late 1980's and he used this training throughout his life to help others at Nissan and in his personal life.
Rick was very proud of his family and we would often talk about the great achievements of his awesome children and his lovely wife Dianne.
I was very fortunate to know Rick as a business partner, but more importantly, I was even more fortunate to have Rick as a true friend!
Condolence: I didn't know Rick well until we both moved to TN with Nissan in 2006. Rick was a devoted follower of Jesus, and although his "promotion" seems to be too early for us, he lived a full life in God's eyes. At Nissan's office in Franklin, Rick and I would often talk, and eventually each conversation would turn towards our walk with Christ. He was such an encouragement to me. He will be missed by many; especially missed as a husband and father. But, as the song says, "If we could only see him now, He has seen the Savior's face.....!" I have absolutely no doubt that Rick was welcomed Home by our Lord and Savior with the words, "well done my good and faithful servant."
Rick, I'll look forward to seeing you again!
Brian
