Jimmy “Tate” Williams passed away on November 18th, 2017. He was born on December 7th, 1942. Preceded in death by his parents, James and Lois Williams; brother, Richard Williams and daughter, Anna Woodcock. Survived by wife, Wanda Williams; brother, Benny (Nancy Faye) Williams; sons, Boyd (Melissa) Williams, Drew (Donna) Williams; daughters, Tamra (Brian) Nye, Sara (Ramsay) McGee; aunts, Trula Surles, Harriet Eddlemon, uncle, Gary (Barbara) Farmer; nieces; Caroline McCaleb, Leslie (Kenny) Sayers; grandchildren, Ellen (Mason) Hart, Jeffrey Williams, JT Woodcock, Jax Nye, Evie and Penny McGee; great nieces and nephew along with a host of in laws, cousins and cherished friends. He will be dearly missed by all who loved him. Special thank you to Sherry Cook with Amedisys Hospice. Service will be held at 3:00PM on Friday, November 24th, 2017 at Williamson Memorial Funeral Home, Jim Taylor officiating. Visitation will be 12-3PM on Friday prior to the service. Honorary pallbearers will be John Guffee, John Jewell, Jimmy Jewell, Mike Henry, The Beagle Club, Albert Ryan, Jr. and Mont Smith. Inurnment will be in Williamson Memorial Gardens.
