Message: I met Jerry Vogel at the Lifeway BETA Conference for first-time Children's Ministers. His enthusiasm & heart for Children's Ministry was inspiring. I grieve his loss along with his family, but rejoice in knowing we will spend eternity together praising our Lord Jesus Christ. May He rest in peace.

Message: Jerry was such a wonderful inspiration to me, and if I had the opportunity to attend his training events, I made every effort to go, as I always came away with encouragement and new tips as a Children's Minister. Later, I was blessed to serve as a writer under his leadership at LifeWay. He talked a lot about his wife, kids and grandkids, weaving his experience as a husband, dad, and papa as he taught. Living out his faith in a real world. Only our Lord could know the extent of his great ministry to leaders, parents and to children. I will be forever grateful for his influence in my life--and know I am praying for your family as you begin a new chapter without him. He will be missed, but undoubtedly, Great is his reward in Heaven.
