Find me
Mykal and I were in the nursery together at Bolivar Church of Christ. Her friendship (and the future Moss babies) was a gift from God. We walked home from school together and had a secret clubhouse that we would stop at and do our h0mework. Maybe we would turn flips over the football apparatus by the tennis courts or consider rescuing that skunk from the public pool, maybe we would go to MawMaw Sipes house to eat pickles or MawMaw Davis' house to play office. The neighborhood by her home was our playground. Old Walter Harris owned half that land, but we took over. If it was Wednesday, we had to do our lessons so Mike would be proud. We stopped by Creekmores on the way because they had cold canned drinks for .35. Whatever we did, it was gunna be fun. I have a thousand memories, just like you do too. They're precious to me and I will never grow tired of hearing about this phenomenon.
I was with Mykal when she gave her profession of faith. That leads me to the phrase she and I shared.. We heard a counselor at MSYC tell a story that she and her friends used to say "Find me". It meant find me in Heaven. We adopted it. I HATE that saying right now!! I want to find you in the snow tunnel or find you singing every stinking word to the Little Mermaid "tape", or find you in the gymnasium bathroom because your nose is bleeding because you got your braces tightened yesterday.
My foundation is shaken with your loss! Because you are a sword sharpener, I will stand firm. Remember the banana popsicles at VBS where we sang a song about standing firm? Ok, Miguelitta, I have to say it now. I love you and "Find me"
