Condolence From: I. Derrickson

Condolence: I would like to express my sincere condolences for the loss of your dear one. I certainly know that Jim will be dearly missed. In the Bible book of Job14:14, he asks, “If a man dies, can he live again?” The answer is yes! Please be sure of the promise given to all of our dear ones sleeping in death. Revelation 21:3-5 tells us that very soon our loved ones will awaken to “all things new. These words are faithful and true.”

Condolence From: Robert Jenner, Worshipful Master

Condolence: Brother Jim was a 51 year Master Mason of the Free and Accepted Masons of Tennessee and a brother of West Nashville Phoenix lodge #131.

The labors of our brother taught him to divest his heart and conscience of the vices and superfluities of life, thereby fitting his soul as a living stone for that spiritual building, that house not made with hands, eternal in the heavens. Strengthened in his labors here by faith in God and encouraged by the hope of immortality, he has sought admittance into the celestial Lodge above.

Our Masonic career was begun with an expression of our faith in God. Step by step we were taught that in God we live and move and have our being. We learned that He is the Great Architect of the Universe, in which there is order, plan and design. These truths give us strength for our labors and enable us to endure the pains, the disappointments and losses of life with the assurance that he that doeth the will of God abideth forever.

We will miss our departed brother, but know with heart felt confidence, that we will meet again as the Great Architect of the Universe has planned it. Brother Jim was a good brother in the lodge helping others and the current brothers are here to help his family in any way we can.
