Obituary for Mary Mina Shoffner Morgan

Mary Mina Morgan - April 30, 1936-October 10, 2018. Born in Shelbyville, Tennessee, Mary Mina grew up in Knoxville, Tennessee, where she graduated from West High School and the University of Tennessee. In college, Mary Mina was an active member of Chi Omega. Mary Mina and her husband, E. Allen Morgan, made their home in Nashville beginning in 1963. She was a long time member of Westminster Presbyterian Church, where she served on the Care Team with her husband. She was a loving wife and mother, a homemaker who took great pride in her home and family, an avid tennis player, and a business woman working alongside her husband in The Morgan Group until retirement. Mary Mina enjoyed socializing with her numerous friends in book club, garden club and church supper club.

She is survived by her husband of 59 years, E. Allen Morgan, children, Preston Morgan of Atlanta, GA, Ashley (Ray) Crabtree of Nashville, TN, Grayson (David) Kanter of Chicago, IL, grandchildren Chase and Zachary Morgan, Hunter, Mary Claire and Taylor Crabtree, Reid and Hailey Kanter, and brother, George (Liz) Shoffner of Westminster, MD.

She is preceded in death by her brother, James P. Shoffner of Hilton Head, SC.

Memorial service will be held at 1:30PM Monday, October 15, 2018 at Westminster Presbyterian Church, 3900 West End Ave. Nashville, with visitation 12:00PM-1:30PM prior. Private burial to occur in Knoxville.
