Message to the Family: Eternal rest grant unto her O Lord, and may the perpetual light shine upon her. May she rest in peace. I did not know my grandma well, I faintly remember visits to her and grandpa's home when I was younger. I remember playing in her backyard and the canal. As a young adult, I was given an Our Lady of Grace medal that was either Adela's or her mom's originally. I still have this medal and will always treasure it. As an adult, I spent a little bit of time with her. I have memories of her gifting my firstborn with a sweet plush sheep, her going with me to an AA/Al-anon meeting, and her joining me at a restaurant for an after work gathering with coworkers... when she stayed with my husband and I for a few days. She was very kind, soft spoken and I recall enjoying that time with her. I will always remember her as a key family member in passing along our beautiful Catholic faith. God bless you grandma... God rest your soul.
