Thelma DeMello Pewitt, age 85 of Franklin, TN passed away June 20, 2018. She was born in Honolulu, Hawaii and moved to Franklin, TN later where she raised her family. She was a retired sales clerk at Sandlin Drug Company and also bookkeeper/sales clerk with Ed’s Flooring. Preceded in death by husband, James Pewitt; parents, Manuel and Clara Freitas DeMello; sisters, Betty Suehr and Vivian Bender; adopted mother, Lucinda Sandlin. Survived by: son, Dale (Amy) Pewitt; daughter, Valerie (Willie) Dabbs; grandchildren, Heather (Robert) Odom, Byron (Tammie) Pewitt, J. Will (Carly) Pewitt, Nathan Suggs, William Suggs and Todd (Heather) Dabbs; great grandchildren, McKeena Pewitt, Pierce Dabbs, Zoee Dabbs, Emmaline Odom, Rebecca Pewitt, James Pewitt, Flint Pewitt, Emerson Odom & Mason Odom and other loving family members. Funeral services will be conducted 2:00 PM Sunday, June 24, 2018 at Williamson Memorial Funeral Home, Jim Taylor officiating. Interment Williamson Memorial Gardens.
