Alene E. White, age 84, of Nashville, TN., left this world on Friday, February 9th, 2018 after an extended illness. She is survived by her oldest son, Terry (Jana) White, granddaughters Sasha Price, Savannah Carpenter, Jenessa White, great granddaughter, Addison Price and great grandson, Heath Carpenter. She was preceded in death by her husband of 64 years, Herbert E. White and her youngest son, Jeffrey White.
After graduating from Community High School in Unionville, Tennessee, she went to work for AT&T and enjoyed a 40-year career where she worked as an operator, directory, service advisor, benefits coordinator, and Pioneer Administrator.
An avid gardener, Alene loved to spend hours in the garden and flower beds where she knew the names of every plant that grew there, as well as the birds and animals that came to visit. She also loved to fish and was very good at it.
She was deeply devoted to her family and enjoyed the company of her grandchildren and great grandchildren at every opportunity. She will be greatly missed by all whose lives she touched.
