Thelma Tomlin Fly, age 91 of Franklin, TN. passed away February 7, 2018. Thelma was proud to be a native of Franklin where she resided all her life, except for the two years when her husband’s work with the telephone company took them to Memphis. She was a graduate of Franklin High School (1945), a lifelong member of Franklin First United Methodist Church. She enjoyed her years of working for the Registrar of Deeds at the Williamson County Courthouse. But her pride and joy were her family. Thelma is preceded in death by her husband, Harold T. Fly, Sr; son, Harold T. Fly, Jr., and parents, Lanie and Albert Tomlin of Franklin, TN. Survivors include: Daughter, Lanie (Millard) Sweeney of Alabaster, AL; Mark (Julie) Fly of Nolensville, TN; 7 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren. A graveside service will be held 1:00PM Friday, February 9, 2018 at Williamson Memorial Gardens, Dr. Lynn Hill officiating with visitation being held one hour prior to the service at Williamson Memorial Funeral Home. Pallbearers: Benjamin Fly and John Fly, Justin Collins, Jeremy Allen; Randy Hill, and William Tomlin, Jr. Honorary pallbearers: Roger Hill, Al Tomlin, Stephen Tomlin, and Christopher Tomlin.
