Condolence: I am very sad about hearing this news. I saw Woody not long ago and he informed me he was sick. However, his attitude, smile and laughter made me soon forget what I had heard. Then we talked about BBQ. :) He was a great man and I am so glad I got to know Woody when he was in Tampa.

Condolence: I was so sorry to read this news this morning. I have such fond memories of working for Woody at the Tampa CVB. He was my first tourism boss and every day was a great adventure. A friend to all, he was a genuinely kind person whom I will greatly miss.

Condolence: Cathy & family.... our condolences go out to each of you as you remember your husband and dad. I feel so fortunate that I was able to see Woody earlier this year in Tampa. His laugh and temperament was just as I had remembered when we worked together at the Tampa CVB. There is so much I learned from him and credit much of my success to that time working with Woody. Our prayers are with each of you as you celebrate his life & memories. God Bless.

Condolence: Dear Cathy and the kids
I am so sorry to hear about Woody's passing and struggle with cancer. I was just thinking about him a few days ago and checked his linked in page to see where he was. He hired me, too, in Tampa, as I have read from others. We traveled together and he was a comfort to me in rough times. I remember laughing with him so often and enjoying work. He was crazy about all of you. Love to you all, Barbara

Condolence: Dear Cathy and family,
So very sorry to hear about the passing of Woody. He was the one that hired me at the CVB in Palm Springs and taught me a lot about tourism. And he helped start my "other" job as dog sitter. Lifting you up in prayer.

Condolence: All I can say is I loved Woody. In our years together at Opryland, we had some amazing times. He was a great boss and an even better friend. We would work together and laugh all day long. My biggest regret is that we lost touch. He left such an impact on my life, as well as all of the other people who were privileged to know him. I will never forget him. Cathy and family, I want to express my deepest sympathy for your loss--a loss we are all feeling right along with you. You are all in my heart, my thoughts and my prayers at this trying time. Please know that his was a life well lived.

Condolence: Cathy and family,
Although my relationship with Woody started at the employment/business level, it didn't take long for it to grow into a friendship. I was excited that he accepted my invitation to pursue his personal "Walk to Emmaus" and I know that his faith remained strong. I'm proud to be a friend of Woody Peek.
