Commander, (Ret.) Robert Allen Walters, age 93, of Columbia, TN passed away August 3, 2015, at his residence, surrounded by his family.
Robert served his country for 27 years in the U.S. Navy and Naval Reserve, serving during World War II and the Korean Conflict. He also earned the honor of an Eagle Scout.
Preceded in death by his parents, Fredrick Charles & Ruth Marie Claiss Walters and sister Jane Walters.
Survived by his wife of 25 years, Alma Ann Anderson Walters of Columbia, TN; sons, Richard Allen (Diane) Walters of Pass Christian, MS and Robert (Debbie) Walters of Huntsville, AL; daughters, Dawn (Bobby) Barton of Irving, TX and Marue Soudelier of Homa, LA; stepchildren, Christy Henson and Eddie Howell of Columbia, TN; seven grandchildren and ten great grandchildren.
A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date, with interment in Spring Hill Memorial Park.
