Obituary for William Howard "Bill", Jr. Clark

William Howard “Bill” Clark, Jr., age 57 of Franklin, TN passed away suddenly on June 29, 2015. Born in Franklin, he moved to Atlanta at age 5 and graduated from Henry Grady High School in 1975.
Bill returned to Tennessee to attend the University of Tennessee, receiving a bachelor’s degree in business administration in 1980. There he met the love of his life, Mary Louise “’Lulu” Luton Clark, who survives him.
In addition to his wife, Bill was passionate about his two sons, William de Graffenreid “Reid” Clark & James Winstead “Jay” Clark, who also survive him. He also loved fiercely the Big Orange of U.T., golfing with his many close friends, and the house on the lake where his family spent so many happy hours. He was so passionate about life, and lived each day to the fullest, loving others.
Bill was for many years a member of the Carnton Country Club, the Franklin Noon Rotary Club, and the Franklin First United Methodist Church. Though his work as a sales representative for specialty holiday products took him out of the state many days of the week, he was always happiest when he was with his family and friends.
Bill was preceded in death by father, William Howard Clark, Sr. In addition to his wife Lulu and sons Reid and Jay, Bill is survived by his mother, Cornelia Ewin Clark, Sr.; sisters, Justice Connie Clark & Cathy (Loy) Hardcastle and other loving family members.
Funeral services will be conducted 11:00 AM Thursday, July 2, 2015 at Franklin First United Methodist Church, 143 Fifth Avenue South, Dr. Lynn Hill officiating. Interment Mt. Hope Cemetery. Pallbearers: Reid Clark, Jay Clark, Brad Perry, Matt Perry, Clay Perry, Larry Apthorp, Neil Stinson, John DePriest, Taylor Pryor, Mickey Marley and Bo Butler. Honorary Pallbearers: Long time Carnton Country Club Golfing Buddies, Dick Schulz and all the Rheltney’s, Cody, Joe and Bill Marley, Janet White, Dennis Krize, George Krize, Bobby Coggin, and Doug Moyer.
Visitation will be in the Historic church sanctuary 4-8PM Wednesday and 9-11AM Thursday prior to the service.
