Obituary for Mary Ellen Endsley Draper

DRAPER, Ms. Mary Ellen Endsley, Ninety-two years ago, the world was graced with the birth of Mary Ellen Endsley Draper, daughter of Robert Arthur and Molly Dee Endsley of Marshall County, Tennessee. Ellen is the mother of two daughters, Sheryl Stroud, who was her loving caretaker for years, and Judge Denise Andre, the mother-in-law of Richard Cash, the grandmother of Heather (Chad) Connery, and the great-grandmother of Brennan Plummer. She passed peacefully at her home in Franklin, Tennessee on July 11, 2014. Also left to honor her memory are her nephew, Robert L. "Corky" (Diane) Jennings, and her great-nephew Daniel (Katelen) Jennings, and her great-great niece, Lilly Jennings, all of Hendersonville, Tennessee. Ellen loved to sew, cook, garden, volunteer for her church, and spend time with her family. She was best known for her loving kindness to others. Ellen was a retired fabric buyer and manager for Textile Fabrics in Green Hills. She was an extraordinary seamstress, and during her career, she made stage dresses for Country Music Legends, Kitty Wells, Jan Howard, Loretta Lynn, Patsy Cline, and Skeeter Davis. She was a long-time member of Pennington United Methodist Church and dearly loved its many members. After moving to Franklin, she looked forward every year to being visited by many of her friends from church to celebrate her birthday and Christmas. A Celebration of Life of Ellen Draper will be held 1:00PM Monday, July 14, 2014 at
Williamson Memorial Funeral Home located at 3009 Columbia Avenue, Franklin, TN 37064. Burial will follow in Lone Oak Cemetery in Lewisburg, TN. Family and friends will serve as pallbearers. Honorary pallbearers will be the members of Pennington United Methodist Church In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Pennington United Methodist Church, 2745 Pennington Bend Rd, Nashville, TN 37214. Visitation will be 4-7PM Sunday and one hour prior to the service at WILLIAMSON MEMORIAL FUNERAL HOME & CREMATION SERVICES, 615-794-2289. www.williamsonmemorial.com
