Obituary for Mr. William Roy Candler

CANDLER, Mr. William Roy, age 76 of Nashville, TN, June 15, 2012. Member of Nashville Grace Church of the Nazarene. Retired Ordained Nazarene Minister with Doctorate in Theology. Former Professor and Vice-President of Emmanuel Bible College in Nashville. Former Chaplain with Davidson Co. Sheriffs Dept.Preceded in death by parents, Luther & Pearl Candler; wife, Mildred Jones Candler; great grandson, Emmitt Candler Andrews. Survived by sons, Jim Candler of Murfreesboro, TN & Jerry (Pilar) Candler of Columbia, TN; daughter, Donna (Rick) Peak of Nashville, TN; brother, Clyde (Ann) Candler of Nashville, TN; sister, Wanda (Cecil) Perry of Nashville, TN; seven grandchildren and seven great grandchildren. Funeral services will be conducted 4:00PM Sunday, June 17, 2012 at Williamson Memorial Funeral Home, Rick Peak officiating. Interment, Johnson Hollow Cemetery. Active pallbearers: Larry, Richard, Tim & Herbert Jones, Bill Davis & Doug Johnson. Honorary pallbearers: Pastors & Ministers of the TN District of the Church of the Nazarene.
