Click here to view all obituariesIn 1997, the decision was made to start another funeral home and cemetery in addition to Williamson Memorial Funeral Home and Cremation Services located in Franklin, Tennessee. The family wanted to expand into the growing area of Spring Hill for many reasons. One of those reasons was for families that lived in the Maury and Williamson County areas to have an additional choice in location for funerals. The other reason was that one of the owners, Nellie Stephens was raised in that community and this was a way for her family to be able to better serve the community where she was raised.
Spring Hill Memorial Park was the first development in 1998. During the construction of the cemetery, the excavators were overwhelmed with people wanting to metal detect for old civil war memorabilia being that this was the pathway in which the troops traveled. Several items were found including mini balls and a confederate belt buckle.
The funeral home started construction in 1999 and was completed in October, 2000. The owners are Pam and David Stephens. Our office manager, Diane Bennett has been with the funeral home since its opening. Diane and her husband Phil have been guardian angels to the firm and watched it carefully since they are neighbors as well as employees!
The staff from Williamson Memorial Funeral Home and Cremation Services located at 3009 Columbia Avenue, Franklin, Tennessee assist with the funerals and day to day operations of the business.
